In the space below, provide the
following information:
What
part of the course are you exploring? Why?
What text type did you choose and
why?
What
is your purpose in writing this task?
1. I'm exploring
"Language & Communities” because I founded
very interesting the topic of the English language around the world. Mainly I
explored about the British English and its influence in Canada, EEUU and Australia,
talking about their history also. I choose this part of the course because there
are many people that speak this language in the entire world and do not know
the origin, the history and the differences between these types of English .Sometimes
people that are learning English do not know if they are doing it right because
of the differences in countries that speak this language.
2. The text type that
I choose was the "Blog" .I choose the Blog because like that I could
show from one perspective the influence of Great Britain. In the Blog I'm a
British girl that explains all that has to do with the English language, with
it's history and I also included videos and images. In the blog I could add all
these elements that make people get more attracted by and entertained with.
3. The purpose of
writing this task is to make people notice the importance of history when it
comes to language. To inform people the differences of English language in this specific countries and the influence of Great Britain on them.
